The expanded Cleveland Youth Detention Centre takes the facility from an existing 48 beds to 104 beds. The project targeted twenty precent reduction in energy and water usage and reduced wastage across site.

The centre is designed to meet a new operational philosophy and the latest rehabilitation techniques utilised by the Department of Communities. The extension included construction of twenty two buildings for administration, teaching, facilities, accommodation, holdings cells and recreation areas.
